The October program will take you on an exotic trip again. We will screen award-winning short films all the way from South-East Asia. Come and see what stories are being unveiled in front of cameras in South Korea, China and Malaysia. The only thing that you need for this trip is a ticket for the screening!

The screening are under the patronage of Korean Embassy in the Czech Republic.

HOMELESS CONDUCTOR (TAIWAN)

It's about a homeless who used to be a great conductor of a famous orchestra band. But no one cares about him anymore now and he could just lie in a corner of a cold and silent city. One night, he tried to fight against this loneliness and he picked up the old baton. He made a deep breath and start to whip it, and suddenly, a miracle happens.

At her deathbed, a grandmother suddenly shouts „Run, run!“. Whereas the rest of the family is puzzled, Yeon-hee is the only one to be surprised. Yeon-hee knows what these words mean. She lastly heard those words 10 years ago at her school's outdoor race when she chose to ignore her grandmother's fe­elings. She realizes her grandmother's final memory is the very last day they spent together. Yeon-hee reaches for her grandmother's hand and accompanies her on her last journey.
