The problem is you can't kill somebody just because they chew too loudly. But in this animated world, you can make all your dark visions of fatal revenge a reality.

Butterfly Girl (Czech Republic)

Director: Ema Hůlková | Producer: Adéla Věříšová |
Year: 2024 | Length: 24 min | Documentary film |

Six-year-old Viktorka tries to understand the complicated relationships in her family. Not only is she expecting the birth of a new sibling, but she must also prepare for her first day at school. In dealing with all these challenges, she is helped by her optimism, playfulness, and imagination. The camera sticks to a child’s perspective, from which every day is full of little miracles.

3 MWh (Czech Republic)

Director: Marie-Magdalena Kochová | Producers: Agáta Kolářová, Pavla Klimešová |
Star: Jaroslav Pížl |
Year: 2024 | Length: 12 min | Live Action |

A nuclear power plant worker obsessed with counting has set a maximum limit on how much electricity he wants to consume. The energy that should have lasted him for the rest of his life is slowly running out, forcing him to decide on its final use. 3 MWh is a film poem about degrowth and shows what it would look like if man stopped putting themselves at the centre of nature. 16mm analogue footage digitally damaged by recorded electrical discharges based on the protagonist's voice demonstrates the relationship between man and material reality.

Buzz of the Earth (Czech Republic)

Director: Greta Stocklassa | Producers: Jakub Vacík, Marek Dusil |
Star: Angela Nwagbo, Helena Dvořáková, Philipp Schenker, Jiří Najvrt, Jan Slovák |

The film takes a humorous look at the complexities of human existence and the challenges of interstellar communication.
